My Specialties

As a Certified Professional Mentor, I have been trained to support women who have endured traumatic life events that have caused severe distress such as sexual or non-sexual abuse, a partner’s infidelity, sexual addiction, or betrayal.  As a woman that has experienced more than I would have liked, I am able to relate on an extremely personal and understanding level. It is these credentials I am able to lean upon when addressing the traumatic events that my clients are facing.

Abuse

Whether you have experienced sexual, physical, mental, or emotional abuse, if left untreated, it can have a severe effect on your health and well-being.  I was a victim of abuse and underwent a tremendous healing process with the help and guidance of a mentor using a course written out of the truths God revealed pertaining to the tragic impacts of childhood abuse.  As stated in the material, “Abuse leaves deep-seated effects on the personality.  Often a victim will attempt to compartmentalize this part of their life, not realizing that it colors every other area of their personality.  A victim may feel guilt, shame, and experience repression, fear, hatred, alienation, and mistrust.” The truths in this material have helped hundreds of abuse victims over the years and continue to help my clients find healing, release, and liberty from the effects of abuse – no longer a victim, but a VICTOR!

Infidelity/Betrayal

When an intimate partner violates the sacred trust, safety, and security in the marriage relationship, this is known as infidelity or sexual betrayal.  Whether it is pornography, sexual affairs, emotional affairs, same sex attraction, or other sexually acting out behaviors of the husband, the pain a wife suffers is excruciating.  Before discovery, her husband’s secrets, compartmentalized behaviors, and gaslighting attempts may cause her to feel like she is “crazy.”  After discovery, a woman experiences a shattering of her perception of herself, her spouse, and the marriage she “thought” she had.  This is accompanied by feelings of helplessness and fear and often results in an identity crisis.  She questions everything and is haunted by feelings that it must be her fault or that she is not good enough. When the integrity of her husband is breached, the lies, deception, and manipulation behind the betrayal can be more damaging than the acting out behavior itself which can cause her enormous confusion and severe distress.

I want you to know there is hope for recovery!  With professional help, education, and support, you can recover that which was lost and regain stability and security.  As you choose to heal, my goal is to provide best practices for healthy self-care, setting appropriate boundaries, managing emotions, grieving well, releasing forgiveness, rebuilding trust and much more as you discover your true identity.  The way out of your pain is “through.”  Take my hand as I gently guide and walk with you to the other side.  It is there you will discover an even better version of yourself – joyful, courageous, and strong!

Trauma

Over 70% of wives experience PTSD symptoms upon the discovery or disclosure of a husband’s betrayal.  The trauma she experiences is likened to what soldiers experience in front-line combat.  Hyper-vigilance has now been activated in her brain that keeps her aware of any danger and safe from threat. Her safety seeking behaviors are actually coping behaviors used to reduce anxiety and fear due to trauma.  Recovery is necessary not only for the husband, but for the wife as well.  Whether your husband chooses a recovery program or not, healing, transformation, and restoration are available for you!  While embracing the fact that we cannot control, cure, or change, our husbands, we can choose to heal!  Not only survive, but thrive!  I am here to tell you there is hope for you no matter what!  I am living proof and would be honored to walk alongside you on your pathway to wholeness.

Transformation

With God’s help, miracles happen…

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."

                                                Luke 4:18

I am trained, equipped, and passionate about mentoring women, helping them through the healing process, and to move forward to achieve post traumatic growth.  Most importantly, I have been called to help women achieve their goals.  God equips those that He calls.  I can honestly say that all that I’ve experienced throughout my life has prepared me for this call to mentor women.  I once was broken, captive, and blind.  Today I am healed, walking in freedom, and with restored sight!  No matter how much damage has occurred in your life, my desire is that you gain a clear understanding of your true identity in Christ and experience the freedom of walking in a spirit of forgiveness with empathy and compassion for those who have hurt you.  We are all called to be renewed in the spirit of our mind and transformed into His likeness and image.  This happens through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit and is nothing less than a miracle.  God still does miracles today!  My desire is for you to experience an absolute miracle of healing like I did – from a broken and devastated life to a redeemed, restored, and transformed life filled with joy!  May you discover God’s purpose for your life as reflected in the following scripture:

"To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

                                                Isaiah 61:3

My desire is for you to be a strong, confident, and joyful woman of God! I long for others to hear and see the glorious testimony of what the Lord has done in your life and that you would be a light and a hope for others in their time of need – that God would be glorified in and through your life!  May that be your story!
